Forensic Science

In Introduction to Forensic Science, you will learn about the importance and limitations of forensic science and explore different career options in this field. You will also learn to process a crime scene, collect and preserve evidence, and analyze biological evidence such as fingerprints, blood spatter, and DNA. Moreover, you will learn to determine the time and cause of death in homicides and analyze ballistic evidence and human remains at a crime scene. Finally, you will learn about forensic investigative methods used in arson, computer crimes, financial crimes, and forgeries.

Artificial Intelligence

The course Artificial Intelligence is a single-semester course that explains the evolution of Artificial Intelligence and its scope in the future. This course also describes how Artificial Intelligence is used in fields such as games, speech recognition, and computer vision. In this course, you will learn about different types of intelligent agents and their environments.You will also learn how to formulate problems and represent knowledge. The course Artificial Intelligence also covers the concepts of machine learning, natural language processing, expert systems, and robots. You will also learn about the ethics and safety issues related to artificial
intelligence.

Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts, Semester A, is a one-semester course that is intended to help you gain an understanding of the history and development of culinary arts. This course covers the basics of nutrition, and health, safety, and sanitation. In addition, the course explains the basic science principles used in cooking and various cooking methods. Finally, the course describes culinary skills required to make a variety of items, ranging from stocks and soups to seafood and poultry to various breads and desserts. Second Semester is available as well.

Game Development

Game Development is a comprehensive one-semester course. In this course, you will delve into the early history of video games, learn about key influences, the console wars, and the evolution of gaming platforms alongside converging technologies. You will compare storytelling elements in video games to those in traditional media, examine character development, and analyze gameplay challenges and level design features. Additionally, you will study game interfaces through a player-centered design approach, assess the significance of audio in game development, and analyze various roles within the industry. You will evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of delivering video games through mobile devices, analyze the phases of production, and understand management’s role in the development process. Marketing strategies and current gaming trends will also be key topics, enabling you to assess future directions in the industry.

Forestry and Wildlife Management

Forestry and Wildlife Management, Semester A, is the first part of a two-semester course. In this course, you will identify employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in forestry, wildlife, and natural resource management. You will learn about safety hazards and procedures. You will examine water sources and water quality. You will learn about mineral resources, mineral extraction, types of trees, plant processes, aquatic resources, and invasive species. You will identify types of land resources. You will explain how parks are funded and managed. You will also learn about forest management methods and silviculture practices. Finally, you will learn about the carrying capacity of rangelands and the consequences of overgrazing.
