Great question. The term accreditation is typically associated with schools and institutions, and does not apply to individual homeschooling curriculum. Accreditation is a process for schools and institutions to demonstrate they meet certain standards, and it doesn’t extend to homeschool curricula.
While our Britestar Homeschool self paced program is not a school, we are a Learning Service Provider and as of Fall of 2025, Britestar will be an accredited learning service provider through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Our academic team has curated a nationally recognized curriculum trusted by thousands of schools —customized with Christian worldview reflections, biblical guidance, and a personalized support team that walks with your family. We have taken academic excellence and enhanced it with biblical truth – helping our students thrive both spiritually and academically. Check out our Scope & Sequence here.
Typically our cost is $1500 (Quarterly payments are available through enrollment on our website).
Our self paced program serves grades 6th-12th.
Our self paced program is fully asynchronous, meaning your child can learn anytime, anywhere. There are no live class requirements, allowing full flexibility for your family’s schedule. Most families start their program in mid-August to early September. All courses in 2025 will go live on August 4 and you can begin your year when you’d like! Be sure to check your state’s homeschool laws for attendance and reporting policies. Once fully enrolled your subscription will be good for 1 year.
All the core subjects like Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies are included—each infused with Christian values and scripture–with electives available in high school such as Spanish 1 and 2, Health and SAT Prep. Additional electives may be available upon request.
We love for our families to be involved! For a self paced program, it is even more important for you to make sure your child is logging in and completing their studies on pace. While the curriculum sets pacing guides, it will be important that you check in from time to time to make sure your child is completing their work and staying on pace. Parents play a vital role in guiding and overseeing their child’s learning. There are optional writing assignments and activities that you, the parent, can choose to review and grade as well. We encourage all our parents to do so. We also provide tools, resources, and guidance to make that easier and more effective. Parents are also responsible for reporting necessary information to their state of residence to be in compliance with homeschool laws.
We offer ongoing support through our live chat, email, and access to our homeschool support team. You’re never on your own!
Our rolling admissions allow families to start at any point during the year, making it easier to transition or start fresh when the timing is right for you. Once a grade level course package is purchased, it must be completed within a calendar year. Be sure to follow your state’s homeschool policies. For Fall 2025, all our self paced courses open August 4th.
We want to ensure that our homeschool parents always advocate for themselves to their state or local education department whenever they have concerns or questions. We can provide a scope and sequence or syllabus for each grade level. Additionally, you will have access to your child’s grades for reporting purposes as well.
Our academic team carefully reviews content and creates Brite Beginnings before each unit. These are designed to set the right mindset for learning before your child’s lesson that day. Full of scripture, heart checks, practical, applicable and spiritual connections, these Brite Beginnings infuse the love of Christ into all our lessons. Check out our video of our Biblical infusion model on our main page.

Please note, currently you can only check out one student at a time. After checking out, simply go back and add your additional course for your other children.
We recognize that every child is unique, and parents know their children best. For families seeking a more adaptable approach, our self-paced program may be a fit.
