Dear Friends,
Gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. That is an accurate reflection of what I have experienced in year one with Britestar. Every day, I am inspired by what I see. Every day, I marvel at the incredible devotion of our teachers and their unique ability to teach and inspire children. Every day, I celebrate the growing support of parents and the community.
Britestar is an education service provider that contracts with new or existing K-12 private or charter schools to help them go online. Since our launch in January, we have been blessed to serve 500 students across 3 schools in Milwaukee!
Britestar teachers are full-time, credentialed, and provide live instruction for K-12 students in a virtual or blended setting. We offer digital marketing support to help schools expand their mission. Most importantly our students learn God’s Word every day from Christian teachers and staff, including our faithful partners at Chaplains in Schools.
I believe that the success of our program is built on a foundation of collaboration with parents. Parents receive a financial stipend and all the technology needed to be successful at home. Dedicated teachers nurture a culture of love and caring, all focused on the goal of providing a safe learning environment for our students.
We are piloting a home school option for high school students. Christian Family Solutions provides our students remote access to professional counseling and social emotional programming. We also offer online music instruction through a partnership with the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
During this time of Thanksgiving, I want to share my gratitude and thank you for everyone involved – teachers, leaders, parents, school partners, community supporters – for playing such an important role in children’s lives. God is blessing our efforts to leverage technology to meet the changing needs of families.
On behalf of the entire Britestar team, I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season!
